I think the following image says it all. Rest in peace, Mr. Bradbury. Your words don't pass with you, and I for one, am grateful.

YGGR I got a really lovely review for City of Gold, which was awesome. I'm so thrilled it's still being read and enjoyed, and makes me even more determined to finish the novel length sequel, City of Jade.

July's plan is actually to do some more on that one; June is, I've decided, time to get as much done as possible (if not finish) Deliverance, which I've been working on since February.

Lastly, for today, some links.

⋄ Rainbow Awards: Cover Contest (April) http://elisa-rolle.livejournal.com/1614866.html "No Quarter" cover at is up as part of this round! If you liked it, please vote! And vote for other covers too, there's some gorgeous work in the running. :)
⋄ Chronic pain: a letter to people who don't suffer from it. Worth a read. As I do suffer from chronic pain, all I can say about this is the very articulate (ahem) YES OMG YES.
⋄ The Spoon Theory, a fantastic analogy to explain chronic pain to those who don't have it.
⋄ Linking again, because, well, I want to. Fundraiser for "Be Here Now: The Andy Whitfield Story".

What an awesome quote. Drunk on writing - I know just how that feels. Right now I am drunk on jetlag :-)

How did the flight to the Nthrn Hemisphere go?

Not too badly. I have a bit of a cold, which turned into a raging sinus headache about half way through the flight, and clever me had put the panadol in my suitcase not my carry-on baggage, but aside from that business class makes the whole 14 hrs on a plane thing much much more tolerable.

Oh wow, business class. I bet that made it better! I got plane crud from the recycled air, I hope you don't get that.

OMG, yes. There was so much food! And all the stuff they used to give you on planes as a matter of course, like hot towels and toiletry kits, and stuff. Plus you get to go in the airline lounge where there is also free food and drinks and wi-fi and so on.

I hope I don't get plane crud either. It's a bit too soon to say, of course, but I think at this stage I'm more likely to be the one spreading the plane crud around!

Wi-fi! And free food and drinks! That's amazing. Did you fly Qantas or someone else?

Mine kicked in with a vengeance when we hit Canada. Suddenly, crossing the border and my head decided to become stuffed with snot. Really lovely. :S

Air Canada. The cabin crew do all the announcements twice - once in French and once in English.
Yeah there's nothing like flying with a head full of snot. My ears were blocked up for about two weeks once after doing that.

That's very cool! I don't think I'd fly Qantas again, now. I've flown Virgin every time for the last several years and they've been awesome each time.

YUCK. I hate that. It's like soggy cottonwool that you can't get out.
