Shamelessly stealing the idea from the lovely [livejournal.com profile] xakara - Thursday Thirteen is thirteen things on a Thursday that fit a theme pulled out of my head. And my theme for this Thursday is purely shallow. I have the flu and a kidney infection and looking at pretty things/people/places makes me happy. So this one, first of my Thursday Thirteens, is: Thirteen Celebrities I Enjoy (With pictorial support because pictures make everything better.)

Onward ho, beneath the cut. (And click the thumbnail to embiggen.)

1. Daniel Craig.

I highly doubt this is a surprise to many people. If you're surprised, then, well, I am also surprised! His eyes get me every time. His sex appeal doesn't hurt either. Plus, every movie of his I've seen, I've really enjoyed. Thanks to "Casino Royale" and James Bond's apparent indestructibility, he is Archangel Gabriel in my head.

1. Yoo Seung Jun.

It's a tie for first, because, well, I love them both. YSJ can sing and dance and fight and act and seems to be a genuinely hilarious and adorable guy. Plus, look at that chest. In my (and K's) head, he's Archangel Michael.

From this point, they're in no particular order. Just a flu-medication brain FYI.

2. Aishwarya Rai Bachan.

I love Bollywood, it's no real secret. I think there's only two Bollywood films I've seen that haven't engrossed me so far and one was about a singing and dancing Bollywood robot, which really, should have engrossed me, but alas, it didn't. Anyhoo, my favourite Bollywood actress is the goddess gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachan, whom my cousin tells me he spent time with when she was visiting Adelaide some years ago and I was all kinds of green. Lucky man.

3. Andy Whitfield.

Spartacus. 'nuff said, I feel. Also? Australian. Yay!

4. Chris Evans.

In all seriousness now for a moment, I do feel that Chris Evans gets overlooked as a versatile and talented actor. From "The Fantastic Four" series to "Captain America," there's also the more serious fare like "London," which was a really tight, enjoyable drama film. And yeah, he's hot. I said it.

5. Garrett Hedlund.

Another who can sing and act and probably dance as well. Plus, he can wear skin tight spandex and not look ridiculous which is always a plus. Plus, plus, anyone who can wear this pair of skin tight leopard print pants and look good is awesome.

6. Grace Park.

Boomer was one of my favourite characters in BSG. And she's in a bikini a lot in "Hawaii 5-0."

7. Hans Matheson.

No list would be complete for me without Hans Matheson. As an avowd Hans afficiondo, I've enjoyed all but one of his films and the one I didn't enjoy, his was a small supporting role. That film was "I Am Dina" and... it was full of horrible people behaving horribly while trying to justify their horribleness to other horrible people. In my head, Mr. Matheson is also Archangel Raziel.

8. Hannah Spearritt.

She's cute, she's badass, she's tiny, she kicks dinosaur arse and she can sing! ...I'm seeing a pattern here.

9. Odette Yustman.

A picture tells a thousand words and a thing of beauty is a joy forever. So have five thousand words and be forever joyful. And red really is her colour.

10. Park Eun Kyung.

Race car model from Korea, and while there are no cars in these photos, she's modelling.

11. Peter Mensah.

Best known (to me) as Doctore in "Spartacus: Blood and Sand/Gods of the Arena", he has a beautiful voice and it wouldn't surprise me in the least if it turned out he can sing. Plus, hot. And Archangel Samael in my head.

12. Ryan Carnes.

He was in "Desperate Housewives" and "General Hospital," but it was "Eating Out," the gay romance love triangle film that didn't do very well that I first saw him. And then again in the SyFy reboot of "The Phantom," which I really enjoyed and not just because of his adorableness.

13. Sophia Myles.

I love her smile. It's such an infectious sort of smile. She was awesome as Madame de Pompadour in "Doctor Who" (Girl in the Fireplace is the ep), and perfect in "The Abduction Club," but I'm most enjoying her in series 9 of "Spooks", where she is a badass, multi-lingual, former private spy now working for MI5.

It was difficult to narrow down to thirteen. I wanted to include others like Ewan McGreggor, Natalie Dormer, Craig Parker, Dave Wenham, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Eliza Dushku, Alexei Chadov, Bruce Boxleitner, Shahid Kapoor, Christopher Meloni, and, and, and...

All of them were lovely, but I freely admit to not seeing more than Grace Parks clearly. She just mesmerized me completely! *grin*

Hope you are feeling better. I have not come across Hans Matheson before but I shall have to keep an eye out for him - he is seriously cute.

A wee bit.

Oh he's awesome. He was Lord Coward, the bad guy's BFF, in the Robert Downey Jr. 'Sherlock Holmes' and the cad in the BBC 'Tess of the D'Urbevilles,' also in 'The Virgin Queen,' he played her much younger lover/scheming brat. Also in the amazingly costumed 'Bathory,' set in Renaissance Slovakia which is worth it for the costuming and set dressing alone. A WW1 horror film called 'Deathwatch,' one of my favourite WW2 films, 'Canone Inverso,' which I loved so much I had to buy the soundtrack. He was also Mordred in the Hallmark Channel's 'Mists of Avalon.' Yuri Zhivago in Channel 4/ITV's 'Doctor Zhivago' with Keira Knightly and Sam Neil, the *best* adaptation of the book I've ever seen. (This is all from looking at my dvd shelf, hahah.) Also he was in the brilliant 'Still Crazy' and he's in season 3 of 'The Tudors' as Anne Boleyn's favourite priest. 3? or 2? I can't remember. Oh, and he was one of the companions in 'Clash of the Titans.'
