Ah, the Sundowner. Of course I prefer the Bogart. The corks on the brim hat is called a Yeppoon. That's what Douglas Adams and/or John Lloyd called it in 'The Meaning of Liff'. (No hyperlinks, because it's too hot to do them.)
In a related blast from the past, I took the cover off the typewriter today and did a few pages, just for fun. Crap, badly spelt and typed and ghoing nowjhere, but it was fun to hear and feel the click of the keys and there's nothing like the carriage return lever to make you feel you should do something. I seem to recall writing a story about a disembodied, vengeful hand when I was 10, but I don't have it anymore. I must thrash around and scan some of the old stuff in case I lose it on the next of my moves.
