Well, that's not the official name. The Meaning of Liff is just applying town names to things we need names for but don't have yet. It led to the advent of the game 'Balderdash'. If I recall correctly, Douglas adams and his friends played it on holidays in greece, so now you know what to do if you're ever there on holidays.
