My first novel The King's Tale is set in Cornwall during the late 1200s, the reign of Henry III. I recently bought a book on homosexual history, and I've been poring over it thinking about what era to write next. I have a strong fascination for Cornwall...I've always loved it. :)

The mountain I've hiked up to the top of 2 times is Mt. Lassen, at the top of California. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mt._Lassen). It is also a volcano, just like Mt St Helens. The hike is two and a half miles long, but you gain 2000 feet in elevation during that hike, so it's a tough hike. And, I get altitude sickness, so it's even harder for me. I literally had to lie on the ground for half an hour after we got up there...both times! :O
