Ooh, what era? My pet love is 1150-1250 Europe with a big dollop of 9th-12th century Byzantium. I'm actually working on background material for a piece set in the Holy Lands during the Third Crusade, although I'm torn - I know one of my guys will be French, but I can't decide if I want his lover to be German/HRE or Cyprian Byzantine.
I've hiked to the top of the same mountain in California twice after vowing the first time I'd never do it again since it nearly killed me!
Which mountain? I saw my first *real* mountain last year - Mount St Helens - as Australia doesn't have a *real* mountain. Not like that. It's HUGE!
